The Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortment, manage product displays, maintain supplier relationships, and enhance the customer shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Merchandising Strategies:
• Create and execute merchandising strategies aligned with business objectives and market demands.
• Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to adjust product strategies promptly.
Manage Product Assortment:
• Oversee the selection and development of product assortments, ensuring diversity and alignment with customer preferences.
• Monitor sales performance and make decisions regarding the retention, replacement, or removal of products from the assortment.
Oversee Product Displays:
• Design and supervise in-store product displays to optimize space utilization and attract customers.
• Ensure displays accurately reflect brand strategy and create a positive shopping experience.
Manage Supplier Relationships:
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and competitive pricing.
• To Negotiate contracts, purchasing terms, and manage current supplier performance to ensure effective and long-term collaboration.
Analyze Market and Trends:
• Research and stay updated on market trends and consumer behavior to adjust product and display strategies accordingly.
• Propose new products or improvements to existing products based on market demand.
Collaboration with Related Departments:
• Work closely with the marketing department to implement product promotion campaigns and promotional programs.
• Coordinate with the supply chain department to ensure timely and adequate product supply for business operations.

Qualifications
• BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, product assortment management, or equivalent positions, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Effective leadership and team management skills.
• Creativity, aesthetic sense, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in office software and related product and display management tools.
